Backlink analysis: profile overview
The backlink profile Overview page — 6 stat cards (Current Backlinks, Domains, Domain Trust, Dofollow, New and Lost this month), Backlink Trend chart + Link Type doughnut, detection history and optional AI analysis.
The Backlinks Overview is the first of the 4 pages in the Backlinks section (Overview → Backlinks → Domains → Anchor Text) and summarises the health of your incoming link profile at a glance. You reach it from the project → sidebar, group Backlinks → Overview.
Domains > Links. 100 backlinks from 100 different domains are worth much more than 1,000 links from the same domain. The cards and chart reflect this priority: watch Referring Domains first, then total links.
The 6 stat cards
At the top, six cards. The first two are clickable and link to the other pages in the section.
- Current Backlinks → click to go to Backlinks (monitoring). Counts the backlinks still pointing to the domain — active + broken: lost ones are excluded, they are no longer part of the profile. On the Monitoring page the total is higher, because it also keeps the history of lost links. The variation (▲/▼) counts backlinks acquired since the last detection.
- Referring Domains → click to go to Domains. Unique linking domains, with the variation since the last detection. The “Lost” value indicates domains that no longer have any active link.
- Domain Trust — domain authority score (0–100 scale). Higher = stronger backlink profile.
- Dofollow — active dofollow backlinks + percentage of total (e.g. “245 / 380 (64%)”).
- New (month) — backlinks acquired since the last detection (green).
- Lost (month) — backlinks removed or no longer detected since the last detection (red).
Backlink Trend (chart) + Link Type
Below the cards, two side-by-side charts:
- 📈 Backlink Trend — green line = Current Backlinks, orange line = Domains. Dual Y axis (links on left, domains on right). Shows historical evolution scan by scan.
- 🔗 Link Type — Dofollow/Nofollow doughnut with the two exact values below.
Detection History
Table with one row per detection (one every 4 weeks), most recent first. Columns:

The history helps spot patterns: constant drops = natural link cleaning; spikes in new links from unknown domains = possible negative SEO (see Backlinks (monitoring) to filter suspicious ones).
✨ AI Analysis (optional)
Plan and role allow it? Then the ✨ AI Analysis button appears top right: it generates an analysis of the backlink profile in natural language — overall quality, anomalies, outreach or disavow suggestions. Consumes 1 report token from the plan.
Empty state (no data)
No snapshots yet? You’ll see “No backlink data available”. That’s normal: Miraqo collects backlinks automatically every 4 weeks, and the first snapshot starts on its own a few minutes after the project is added.
Update frequency
Backlink data updates every 4 weeks (28 days after the last detection), and that’s it: no manual refresh button. The 4-week window keeps noise low — providers take days to consolidate data — and respects the API budget.
